Winchester Library

The Arc is home to Winchester LibraryHampshire Libraries’ busiest venue.

Hampshire Libraries is the place to access a wide choice of fiction and non-fiction titles – from current best-sellers to award-winning non-fiction with a comprehensive range of cookery books, history books, maps, magazines, foreign language titles and virtually every other kind of book you can imagine in between. The children’s collection starts young readers on a life-long journey from picture and board books through to an inspiring collection of young adult literature. 

As a member, you can also access thousands of eBooks, Audiobooks, newspapers and magazines free to download on your smartphone, tablet, eReader or computer from the Digital Library, 24 hours a day seven-days a week.

Winchester Library also provides quiet study spaces, free bookable public computers and remote printing. Those who cannot visit the library can sign up for The Home Library Service or our Good Neighbour scheme.

Anyone living, working, or studying in Hampshire can become a member of Hampshire Libraries. You can join online or in person at any Hampshire Library.
