Winchester Poetry Festival and Bridges Not Borders invite you to share your languages in a session of creativity, collaboration and performance. Join us for a creative evening and meet people from different cultures, celebrate their languages and share your own!

  • Write poems inspired by multi-cultural poets.
  • Write a collaborative poem uniting the languages in the room.
  • Share work by a poet you love or read us a poem you've written in your mother tongue.

Bridges not Borders is a literature and art project run by Susmita Bhattacharya and Aiysha Jahan, funded by Arts Council England and the AHRC-funded Diverse Capacities Project.

Winchester Poetry Festival is here to be a round table for poetry where everyone is welcome.

We are a poetry organisation that does all sorts of things - from hosting our much-acclaimed biennial festival in Winchester, to our popular Winchester Poetry Prize competition, to our wider work with schools and community organisations.

No previous experience of poetry required. Speakers of all languages encouraged to attend.
FREE at attend, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Please reserve your free ticket if you plan on joining: www.winchesterpoetryfestival.org/what-s-on
