You don’t need to travel or even visit special places to look at the natural world – it’s all around you, waiting to be noticed!

One of the best ways to realise how incredible nature is, is to record what you see in a journal. Each week for six weeks we’ll take something natural from the natural history collections cared for by Hampshire Cultural Trust and learn all about it. We’ll discuss the habitats you find in Hampshire, and what you might find there.

You’ll become a nature artist, learning to draw, write about and paint what you see and learn. Each week there will be something to follow up on so you can practice observing and journaling nature at home. This course is packed with ideas on how to present your findings and explores different ways to respond to nature in your journal. Journal and materials supplied. Refreshments will be available from our café before and after the session.
