Creative Explorers: Play
Looking for a fun, creative day where children can try new things and get stuck in?
Creative Explorers is a holiday club-style session at The Arc, Winchester, where children spend the day moving, playing and making, with inspiration taken from artworks in our gallery. Each day combines a high-energy morning of games, movement and drama with a relaxed, creative afternoon in our studio spaces.
This Play-themed day focuses on curiosity, experimentation and enjoying the process. Children will begin in the Performance Hall with games and group activities designed to build confidence and get everyone involved, before moving into the studio spaces for an afternoon of hands-on making using a range of materials and techniques inspired by the gallery.
The session is designed to be inclusive and supportive, with a balance of structure and freedom so children can explore ideas, try things out and create something that feels their own.
Expect a relaxed, welcoming environment, lots of variety across the day, and the chance to come away having made something to be proud of.
Please bring a packed lunch and a drink for children attending the full day.
