With Acoustic Café XL, we welcome back artists who’ve already performed an Acoustic Café with us, inviting them into the hall for a special performance.
This year we’re celebrating three favourites from the last four years of running Acoustic Café - can you believe it’s been going that long!!

BURR ISLAND
Originally from the ‘shires’ of the West Country and now based in London, Burr Island (comprised of best friends Tom England and Oskar Porter) are on a mission to spread hope, positivity and love, whether that be through the beauty of their ‘sibling-style’ harmonies, the vivid imagery of their lyrics or their layered, melodic approach to songwriting.
Their Debut Album ‘Days Dreamt’ is a nod to the sounds of the late 60s and early 70s folk and baroque pop scene, infused with melodies reminiscent of Crosby, Stills & Nash, Cat Stevens and The Beach Boys, exploring our connection to the natural world, challenging the ‘dream like’ mundanity of the day-to-day rat race, and questioning why our world leaders often prioritise their own power and status over fairness and equality. The record received praise from BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, Radio X, BBC Introducing, CLASH Magazine, Shindig! and Notion, as well as a public endorsement from Robert Plant.
After hearing the duo’s first record, Plant made a shock appearance at their headline gig above a pub in North London; “We saw his very recognisable silhouette at the back of the audience and couldn’t quite believe what was happening!”
Not long after, the pair were invited to support Robert Plant & Saving Grace on their UK tour in December 2025, where they went on to play to full crowds at internationally acclaimed venues such as London’s Royal Festival Hall.
In fact 2025 was the busiest year yet for live shows for Burr Island. Spring saw them in Ireland and Northern Ireland supporting Ocean Colour Scene, while the summer took them to Germany where they opened for Amy MacDonald on her European Tour.
Now, with their second project imminent, and with a potential headline tour on the horizon, 2026 is showing no signs of slowing down in momentum for the Burr Island boys.
TENDERLORE
Tenderlore are an alternative folk trio rich in harmony and lyrical intent with trad-folk roots. Individual singer/songwriters in their own right and inspired by each other's music, they began to collaborate on each other's songs. Inspired by the likes of Crosby, Stills & Nash, Simon & Garfunkel, Fleet Foxes and The Staves, Tenderlore's sound is the amalgamation of three individual musical identities blending as one.
PEGASUSES
Bittersweet alt-folk at your service - Pegasuses are husband and wife duo Dave Miatt and Laura Lamb.
Their debut album, ‘Sea of Joy’ (produced by Russell Marsden, Band of Skulls) is out now, showcasing their curious blend of sweet harmonies and slightly twisted storytelling.
Step into their world - a place that’s oddly comforting, a little surreal, and never quite what it seems.
Pegasuses will be performing this show as a trio, with pedal steel player, Mike Davies.
