Acoustic Cafe at The Arc Winchester is a free monthly event that showcases acoustic performances from local up & coming artists. Its an ideal setting to discover new music in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. 

 

Twisted Fiddle

Twisted Fiddle garnered recognition in the Hampshire music scene. In 2024, they were awarded 2nd place for Best Original Band in the Hampshire Music Awards, a testament to their talent and growing popularity. 

 

 

Jack & Bas

Duo comprising of Jack Dale and Bastien Terraz, both based in Southampton.  Jack Dale is a seasoned songwriter, singer, and guitarist with a style influenced by folk and blues artists such as Kelly Joe Phelps, Nick Drake, John Martyn, and Charlie Parr. He also teaches music performance and production at a college in Southampton. Bastien Terraz, a classically trained musician, is a freelance bass player and teacher who began his career as a jazz bassist. Together, they wrote and recorded their debut LP, "Youngest Son," during the lockdown period through file sharing and home recording. The duo regularly performs live in various venues and festivals around Southampton, including The Joiners, The Stage Door, Belgium & Blues, The New Forest Folk Festival, and Wickham Festival. 

Kathy Rhodes

Alt-folk duo featuring Kathy Rhodes (vocals and guitar) and Ken Bisson (electric violin). Originals sung with a captivating voice and emotive arrangements, sometimes incorporating poems and sonnets by Shakespeare, Byron and Shelley. Kalopsia conjures a fragile, atmospheric and timeless emotional experience, filled with elegance, charm and soothing moments of calm, contrasted by dynamic bursts of emotion creating visions that resonate. The duo have been compared to This Is The Kit, PJ Harvey and Fairport Convention with an original twist!
