Brush up on your computer skills with introductory and intermediate sessions in our brand new Digital Lab – a fantastic community space with eight kitted-out machines.
Getting access to the best tech and software can be tricky, but it really helps when you’re starting out. Visit our new Digital Lab, situated on the ground floor of The Arc, to try out one of our eight state-of-the-art iMacs, each allowing access to the Adobe Suite and other open-source design software. We’ll be running workshops to explore different programmes and giving you an introduction to some of the industry standard software behind graphic design and layout. You’ll have a chance to learn the basics of design, illustration, audio and video production and much more.
The Digital Lab is for everyone – which means if you want to learn the basics, we’ll be running training to help you. We provide a relaxed atmosphere where you can ask all the questions you want and practise your skills until you feel more confident. While food and drink is not allowed in this space, when you want a screen break, our café is close by for coffee, tea and other refreshments.
