Do you have a child who worries at night?

In Guatemala they have a lovely strategy for little ones to use to let their worries go. Once upon a time, the story goes, the Sun God came to visit a Mayan Princess. He gave her the gift of solving any worry a human being could worry about. And ever since, children in Guatemala have been telling their worries to little dolls modelled on the princess and putting them under their pillows for a worry-free night’s sleep.

This workshop shows you how to make your own worry doll, using brightly coloured yarns and fabrics. You’ll leave with a little bag to put your new worry doll in, so you can take them home and try them out.

Parents are asked to stay and supervise their children to help them get the best out of this session. Refreshments available from Café at The Arc before and after the session.
