As part of Hooray for Harryhausen: A Day of Films, Creatures & Curiosity, join us for a fun, hands-on family workshop inspired by the incredible creatures of Ray Harryhausen: Myths in Motion.
Continue your Harryhausen adventure with this fun, hands-on workshop in the Performance Hall, taking place straight after our family screening of Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (U).
Taking place in the Performance Hall immediately after our family screening of Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (U), this creative session is the perfect way for young adventurers to continue their journey into Harryhausen's world of monsters, myths and movie magic.
Using colourful air-dry foam clay, children will sculpt and design their very own creature inspired by the legendary beasts, dragons and mythical monsters that made Harryhausen famous. With plenty of images from Harryhausen's films available for inspiration, participants can recreate a classic creature or dream up an entirely new monster of their own.
Our friendly tutor will guide the session, sharing tips and techniques to help bring each creation to life, while encouraging imagination, storytelling and creative play. No experience is needed, just a willingness to get creative and have fun.
We recommend combining this workshop with the family screening of Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger for the full Harryhausen experience. Watch Harryhausen's fantastic creatures come to life on the big screen, then create one to take home yourself.
