Learn all about lino cutting with artist-printmaker Katherine Anteney and leave with your very own Ravilious-style lino prints.

Learn to draw onto a lino block and cut using special tools. You’ll take away a postcard-sized block you can use to create your own limited edition prints at home. Please ensure that every young person has an adult to share the morning with and come in old clothes to ensure everyone can be at their most creative.

The café will be available for refreshments before and after the session. Katherine Anteney is a printmaker and bookbinder from Southampton, Hampshire. Her main practice is linocut, letterpress, monoprinting and bookbinding. You may occasionally see her screen-printing too. She studied at Winchester School of Art and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Printmaking in 2004, but she’s always learning and trying out new things. In 2004 she co-founded Red Hot Press in Southampton, an open access print workshop.

This workshop is part of our programming celebrating the exhibition, Extraordinary Everyday: The Art & Design of Eric Ravilious. Book your exhibition tickets to coincide with your visit!
