This workshop will teach the basics of creating an original manga style character, including proportions, lines of action and expressions along with inking and drawing techniques.
There will be some interactive activities to help with inspiration and a short presentation from the tutor to set out the activities. At the end of the session you will have your very own original character and some skills to practice to continue in the future. All abilities welcome and 121 support given where needed.
Jessica Drozd is a Southampton based illustrator, cartoonist and art tutor. Jessica has a passion for art and illustration ranging from children's books, comics and animation all the way through to games design and concept art. She enjoys reading manga, playing various computer games and drawing characters for her role playing games like DnD. Jessica is currently working in further education teaching from age 14 to adults in visual and creative arts.
