Uke’n’Paint with winnall rock school for ages 7-11
This activity is part of The Arc’s COWfest 2026 programme, a free and inclusive festival for children and families in Winchester and beyond, celebrating creativity, play and community. The Arc acts as the festival hub, with additional activities taking place at community locations across the city on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February.
Uke’n’Paint is a hands-on creative session hosted by Winnall Rock School, inviting children to personalise their own ukuleles with colour, patterns and playful designs. Led by Winnall Rock School’s Peter, alongside artist and Arc tutor Victoria White, children will be supported to decorate their ukuleles using acrylic paints and inspiration pictures.
Participants can leave their ukuleles to dry after the session, and will then have the option to return later in the day to take part in Uke’n’Jam, a relaxed group jam session where they can play together and show off their newly decorated instruments.
Please note that children will need to bring their own ukulele and should dress for mess.
