Drop-in COWfest tote bag printing for all children- try Silkscreen Printing with Berkshire Printmakers!

This activity is part of The Arc’s COWfest 2026 programme, a free and inclusive festival for children and families in Winchester and beyond, celebrating creativity, play and community. The Arc acts as the festival hub, with additional activities taking place at community locations across the city on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February.

Get to grips with a squeegee and have a go at the heritage craft of silkscreen printing. Join Berkshire Printmakers for a hands-on, drop-in workshop where children and families can print their very own COWfest organic cotton tote bag to take home and show off.

Berkshire Printmakers is run by artists Sarah Martinez and Cipriano Martinez, who have over 20 years’ teaching experience and work with adults and children in art centres, colleges and schools. Passionate about keeping traditional, hands-on printing techniques alive, they travel across the country with their collection of photo screens, water-based inks and squeegees to share this craft with new audiences.

This relaxed session is suitable for all abilities, with guidance provided throughout. Families are welcome to drop in at any point during the session and stay for as long or as little time as they like.

Date: Sunday 8 February
Time: Drop-in between 11am–4pm
Location: ARC spaces, The Arc Winchester
Tickets: Free, no need to book
