Our regular comedy night at The Arc, Barnstormers Comedy presents a line-up of three top acts from the London comedy circuit and beyond: many of them Comedy Store regulars.

Matt Welcome

“one of the best comics you’ve never heard of [yet]” - Chortle Matt Welcome is back on the circuit with his inimitable style of existential pedantry. Renowned for his slick, precisely placed premises, using verbal misdirection and elegant timing, Welcome builds punchlines with ruthless efficiency before easing into offbeat explorations that reveal his deceptively witty point of view. Whether dissecting everyday assumptions or taking improbably engaging detours into unexpected territory, he is always smart, original, and effortlessly entertaining. A native North Londoner, Matt started out as a computer programmer in telecommunications, working in exotic locations like Essex and Belgium. But after a successful best man speech at his friend’s wedding, Matt soon found himself trying out at one of the oldest comedy clubs in the country; Downstairs at The King’s Head. Matt was then catapulted onto the UK circuit along with many TV appearances on Live at The Comedy Store, The World Stands Up, The Funky Bunker, Live at Jongelurs, and as co-host of Cyber Cafe. A master mechanic of the craft, delivering a classic style of comedy with material you’ll berepeating to your friends long after you’ve seen him, Matt Welcomes you.

Sam See

Sam See is one of the top Southeast Asian comedians of stage and screen, originally starting in Singapore and currently based in London. He has appeared on The Jim Jefferies Show, Comedy Central Asia's Stand-Up Asia, Singapore's first television comedy panel show OK Chope!, and has made appearances on YouTube channels No Rolls Barred and BlampCo.

Known for his unique approaches to comedy specials, he was the first Southeast Asian comedian to be listed on Fest Mag's Top Shows of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He was also selected by the United Nations Human Rights Office to be one of their official comedians to celebrate the 75th Anniversary for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. He is also the creator of the long-running Asian Comedy Showcase, a critically acclaimed show that highlights Asian comedians (and one Token White Act), as well as the co-creator of cult hit Off With Your Head!, an interactive comedy game show set in Medieval times.
