Join us for a relaxing evening in The Arc Café showcasing acoustic music from multiple local up and coming artists.
Tenderlore consists of Hayley McDonnell, Olly Lewis and Rob Kitney, together an Alternative Folk trio rich in harmony and lyrical intent. The trio continues to gig regularly around Southampton and beyond.
Recent gigs have seen Tenderlore supporting raucous folk-rockers Mad Dog McCrea and 60s pop legends The Move. Inspired by the likes of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Simon & Garfunkel, Fleet Foxes and Laura Marling, Tenderlore’s sound is the amalgamation of three individual musical identities blending as one.
Inspired by the sound of late 90s/early 2000s, Rose's Diary is an indie rock project created by singer/songwriter Rose Allnutt, who started writing songs as a tool to process her feelings and experiences, much like a diary. The band's debut single, Superhuman was picked as tune of the week by BBC Introducing Solent upon its release and they have been making a name for themselves in the Portsmouth/Southampton music scene with recent performances supporting SINS, Waseremono and Tugboat Captain.
Katy Bates is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Bournemouth. She is greatly inspired by the likes of Taylor Swift, The Lumineers, First Aid Kit. Her sound is a mellow blend of folk, country and pop.
So far, her biggest achievements have been performing at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, singing harmonies on the 'Blithe Spirit’ soundtrack and having her cover of ‘Voulez-Vouz’ featured on ABBA’s Instagram.
